Chapter 1
"Happy birthday mijo" Eddie opened the door, an older Chris sat up in his bed leaning against the headboard "I got you your favourite muffin and a milkshake but as it's your birthday doesn't get used to it," he told him.
Chris grinned "I won't dad"
"So how old are you again" Buck walked into the room he folded his arms over his chest "4, 5" he asked and tapped his chin, Chris giggled at him and gave a shake of the head "Yes you are I swear".
"I'm 8 Buck," he said to him
"8 that was it I knew I would remember" he leaned down and kissed the top of his head "Eat your breakfast cause you have school to get to" Buck told him and left the room leaving Father and alone.
"Did you get, it Dad?" Chris asked him, Eddie turned and shut the door he turned back to look at Chris and nodded he walked over to the bed and sat on the side just by his son's legs, Eddie took something out of his pocket it was a small jewellery box.
Chris took it and opened it inside was a gold band "Do you think he'll like it" he asked him.
Chris nodded "he is going to love it Dad when are you going to do," he asked and tilted his head to the side to look at him, Eddie took the ring back from him and put it in his pocket again "Do I get my present yet dad," he asked.
"I have to pick it up kid so when you get back from school is that okay" he asked him, Chris nodded "Good" he leaned and kissed Chris on the forehead and got up "Eat your breakfast and then get ready for school".
Buck stood in the kitchen he had a frying pan on the stove he moved the bacon, Eddie walked into the room walked up to him put his arms around his waist and placed his chin on his shoulder "That smells nice enough for two" he asked him and then gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Of course and then I have to work" he sighed "Life of a full-time teacher huh" he said to him and kissed Eddie back.

"Morning" the woman smiled and waved Eddie over "I am glad you could pick him up today as I am going on holiday an extra day earlier come with me Mr Diaz and I will take you to him" She smiled, Eddie nodded and followed her into the house and a room.
There was a small Dachshund puppy in the playpen "Here he is" she said and reached down and picked the puppy up she turned to Eddie and held him out "All treatments are done I have the paperwork from the vet if you need to change where to take him that is what you need".
Eddie took the puppy and smiled "Thank you again Yvonne can't thank you enough my son is going to love him".
"That's okay glad his going to a good home and good luck"

Buck unlocked the door and walked in "I'm home, where are my Diaz boys" he called out, Eddie popped his head out of the kitchen "There is one of you where is my favourite one is he not back from school yet" he asked him and they both walked into the kitchen, the smell of food was in the air.
"Carla took him for ice cream first and then back here for his present" he told him and kissed him on the lips, Eddie moved both his arms around his waist and pulled him closer to his body they started kissing Buck slid one hand and grabbed a hold of Eddie's bum.
"That right there is mine," Buck said to him and squeezed again "Have we got time," he asked and raised an eyebrow at him
"I wish we did but I am afraid no,t," he said letting him go there was the sound of the door, and Eddie looked at him as if to tell him I told you so there was the sound of crutches, Chris and Carla walked in "Hey".
"Buck you here" Chris said to him and smiled
"It is your birthday of course duh" he said and he moved the chair Christopher came over sat down and Buck took his crutches from him "Hey Carla" Chris said to her.
"Hey Buckaroo" Carla kissed his cheek "Well that is me for today, enjoy the rest of your day Christopher" she said and kissed his head "Bye boys" she waved at them as she left.
"Have you got my present Daddy I have been thinking bout it all day" Chris asked him "I am so excited to find out what it is and I can't forget my cake" Chris said in a rush.
"Whoa slow down superman you are going to make yourself dizzy" Eddie said to him "I will go and get it, Buck make sure his eyes are closed before I come back in" he said to him and walked out the door.
Chris smiled "Can't wait" he said Buck covered his eyes "Buck" he giggled at him.
"Orders from your dad, buddy sorry," Buck said to him, Eddie walked in he had the puppy in his arms, Buck smiled "Okay so are you ready to see what we got you for your birthday".
"Yes Buck I am" Buck removed his hands from his eyes, Chris's eyes opened, widened and gave a gasp "Daddy it's a puppy you got me a puppy," he asked him, Eddie smiled and handed him over "oh daddy," he said and nuzzled the puppy.
"We got to think of a name for him" Eddie said to him
"It's a boy," he asked and Eddie nodded, Buck watched he had a smile on his face "What shall we call it Buck help with a name please" Chris looked up at his eyes slightly wide.
"Of course, we would go through names just before you go to bed, so who wants cake".

"Miles huh" Buck moved the cover down the bed he yawed he took his clothes off until he was in just his underwear, Eddie was getting in bed on the other side, Buck finally got in and settled onto his back arm behind his head.
"Yeah, after Miles Morales, he said something about maybe M and M but I said to stick with Miles" They both settled down in the bed, Eddie leaned over him and kissed him on the lips, he trailed his lips down his neck and his naked chest he sucked on his collar bones.
"Maybe at the weekend while Chris is with Abuela we will go for dinner nice romantic restaurant what do you think" he asked him.
Buck kissed him again "Anytime Eddie Diaz," he said and they kissed again.
