I have a 2022 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 Cummins. It has 8500 miles and after driving for about 20 minutes a “Perform Service” message came up in the display. The next time I started the truck the message was gone and not in stored messages, and once again after about 20 minutes the message popped up again. From what I can find it sounds like this comes on at 75,000 miles to replace the CCV filter, but I’m very shy of that. Is there any other reason this comes on or is my filter actually bad that early?

I doubt the ccv is bad already, It is under warranty though so you could take it back to Dodge.
Try this first though,
Key on to ACC
Key off
Key on to run but don't start truck, wait for lights to go out
Slowly Press accelerator to the floor 2 times within in 10 seconds
Count to 5
Key off - Take Key out
Count to 10
Key on till lights go out and then start
It should reset the warning for you.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, I’ll probably try the reset and see if it comes back again. I was concerned that they added something on the newer models that made this more than just a timed message every so many miles since it came on so early.

Have you checked the service life of your oil & fuel filters, it could be its thinks one or the other is in need of being replaced?

I was just checking some other forums for similar issues to yours, Apparently there is a sensor that checks flow from the CCV that can get dirty and cause a fault.
Another member suggested taking the filter out and just cleaning it or vacuuming it.
Here is the thread its from 2015 I believe, but the 6.7 hasn't changed much since then, other than the addition of DEF I think.

Thanks for looking into it. I called up the dealer and they said it was weird to be coming on so early, going to drop it off next week. I’ll post here with what they say in case it helps anyone else.

On the average you should replace that filter every 65,000 to 75000 miles. It keeps the gunk out of your turbo and EGR system. At about 150,000 miles you should get your EGR cleaned. You have a million mile motor if you take care of it. I have almost 600,000 on mine. And I do regular maintenance on it. I have a2013 ram 3500.

I saw a Utube that on the 2019+ engines you can no longer clean the EGR like you can on 2007 to 2018 6.7L engines..
